Mustang vs. Mustang: Can a Supercharged GT Outrun a Shelby GT350?

Two Mustangs enter, only one leaves victorious. That’s the premise of this week’s drag strip battle, where a supercharged Mustang GT and a tuned Shelby GT350 take to the quarter mile.

From the factory, the 2016 Mustang GT puts down an already impressive 435 horsepower. The Shelby, on the other hand, cranks out 526-horsepower from its naturally-aspirated V8. But this Mustang GT is no stock pony. It features a supercharger, as well as some other go fast parts. The Shelby GT350, on the other hand, gets a tune and not much else. So who wins this battle?

The supercharged Mustang takes the easy ‘W’ on this one. We can only assume that the supercharger kit adds a hefty amount of horsepower onto the already potent muscle car. The Shelby GT350 though, don’t count it entirely. This car was built for corners, so a track battle between these two might be on deck.
