Wikipedia Bans Use of the Daily Mail as News Sources

Friday, February 10, 2017,ARRAHMAHNEWS.COM, LONDON - The editors of Wikipedia has decided to ban the use of the Daily Mail as the source for the website in all but a few exceptional circumstances after because they considered the news agency in general "not reliable". The Guardian on Thursday (09/02) reported that this step is not usually done by the online encyclopedia, which is rarely imposed restrictions against several publications.The editors described the reasons for the ban was due to "poor reputation Daily Mail checks the facts, put forward sensation and fabrication". Institutions Wikimedia, which runs Wikipedia but do not control the editing process of his, said in a statement that volunteers on the English Wikipedia editors have addressed the reliability of the Daily Mail at least since early 2015.It says, "Volunteers editor on the English Wikipedia has reached a consensus that the Daily Mail is generally unreliable and their use as a reference in general prohibited, especially when there are many other reliable sources".
